Grand Theft Auto 5

Rockstar Games has officially announced Grand Theft Auto V is in development.
The debut trailer for the game will be released on November 2. Reports have long suggested Rockstar is hard at work on GTA V, with industry insiders and analysts pointing towards a likely 2012 release.
In June, sources allegedly close to the developer said the title is "well under way", with final touches like mini-games already being applied. Repeated rumours have suggested the game will be set in real world Los Angeles. The first signs of the game crept online back in February via an actor's CV, and were quickly followed by some suspicious Rockstar-registered URLs.

Cool. Shame it's LA tbh but I guess they can reuse some of la noires map...

Aparently the first trailer is out Nov 1st.
I'm with Slash in that I really did not like San Andreas. III and VC were awesome squared and I don't think I could choose a favourite between them, but SA was just lost on me. I think it was the setting, te whole Boz N Tha Hood thing left me really and cold and I hated the main character. not because he was black, he was just an arsehole.
IV I really liked, but I didn't spend the time I did on III or VC due to growing up and having a career and a wife and stuff, but I also thought the relationship upkeep got in the way of the game.
If V is anything like IV, but without the relationships, I'll love it. Although I'm not looking forward to an LA setting, what's wrong with Chicago? Or a major European city? GTA Moscow would rock.

Yeah, San ANdreas was lost on me. I really couldn't be arsed making sure he stayed in shape etc and IV was the same with "friendships". What did they really add? The problem with GTA (IMHO) is they are too long. Each mission ends up the same.I think RDR had the same issues. At least Crackdown had a bit more fun to be had in the city - especially with co-op.

San Andreas was way too gangsty! As others have said. I hate cliche american gangsters :P All that tagging stuff (spraypainting on walls) and pimping the car & taking over turf was crapIV was a *tad* better but I hated Roman & the "this is the most SERIOUS game ever!" tone. I didn't really like Nico either & the clothing options felt pretty limited

The gangsta stuff is only the first part of the game, before it opens up into a silly sandbox with miles of countryside and jetpacks and riding bikes off cliffs, with Billy Idol on the radio."San Andreas was way too gangsty! As others have said. I hate cliche

Good times.
