Battlefield 3
  • I'm surprised noone's mentioned this yet.

BF3 was confirmed a few months ago, and anyone who purchases MoH on pC will get automatic entry into the beta within 12 months of MoH's release.  As excited as I am about BF3, I still won't be purchasing the piece of shit that is MoH, but still.

There's a fair amount about BAd Company 2 that I think could have been better, and the biggest gripe was the player count.  32 players servers at maximum (16 for console players, but that's their own fault), and 64 player servers have been confirmed for BF3.  All they need to do is fix the OP'd jets and update the graphics and to be honest I'd buy BF2 at full price,
  • What MIkes said. Not buying MoH For a beta. I'll wait. And i'll enjoy.
  • Just seen how many hours you've racked up on bad company 2!  Good work.
  • Is you bc 2 sig up to date korvaz?  I thought you would be much higher than that by now. I'm at 33 I hink. Just working on the few remaining pins.
  • to be honest, i've been in a bit of a gaming slump recently. I've played pretty much nothing, and have only recently got back into playing with any regularity. I'm playing more often now, though. I just got burned out, for a while.
  • I expected nothing less. :D
  • I did, it's being EA and trying to consolise everything.  I'm hoping they stick with these claims.  DICE's release before BC2 came out that they would not release paid for expansions as it splits the community.... until BC Vietnam, taht is.  Fucking EA.
  • PC Spec list released.

I meet the recommended specs woo!

Anyone here going to try the open beta at all?  I will probably end up pre-ordering this.  I just wish it was on Steam :(

  • I'm not.  My PC chugs on BC2, but i'll be upgrading with my tax return to an i5 2500k, an Asrock Extreme 4 mobo and 8g of DDR3 1666Mhz RAM (already purchased).
  • i5 2500K is lovely. That's what I have got with 4GB DDR3 and an overclocked GTX560ti.  I only play at 1440x 900, but want to get a 1080p screen at some point.
  • I was about to saw that Mwave had monitors on sales like that all the time for less then $200, but forgot you werenn't in Australia.  Sorry.

I have an ATI 6950 2g unlocked to 6970 shader levels and unfortunately it's bottlenecked by my current CPU, but when I upgrade I'm linking this bad boy to my 32" he def TV next to the computer :D
  • Yeah...think I would only want a 23" or 24" as I prefer to play PC games at my desk.  Console games for the couch :D
  • Has anyone tried the BF3 beta?  SO far so good.  There are some animation glitches here and there but the gameplay is good.

There is only one map to play on atm which has no vehicles.  So far my PC handles it nicely at 1440 x 900 with everything on high (i5 2500k, overclocked 560ti and 8Gb Ram - it is so cheap right now it was rude not to upgrade to 8GB).

  • I haven't yet.  I've been busy writing, but the deadline for that is coming up and I'll be upgrading my CPU and MOBO soon to be able to play it on decent settings.  I'll also be putting in a pre order soon.
  • Yeah.....where are you pre-ordering from?  Digi or physical copy?  Origin is required either way AFAIK but can be found cheaper if you don't buy it from EA direct.
