You play as Lex, an outcast bounty hunter and the only person who can move between day and night, the two worlds that coexist in alignment. Lex finds himself embroiled in a war between two polar opposite civilisations. Thats all were told about the plot, which could be a good thing as the developers are promising an immersive experience and fast paced cinematic action. Too many companies delve into their games plots too far, we like a bit if mystery when approaching a new title. The games publisher (South Peak Interactive) are certainly excited about the world Lex inhabits. We are very excited to help bring Fuzzeyes creative vision to life. The team spent a lot of time developing a comprehensive story to give the universe a history and purpose, which can change based on the players interaction within the world. said Melanie Mroz, CEO of SouthPeak. The combat looks to be one of the more intriguing elements of Edge of Twilight. Starting off in the day realm Lex comes equipped with a gunblade that can shoot and slice through enemies that come through portals linked to the night realm. Combat comes with light and heavy attacks being able to be mixed up to perform a variety of combos. In addition you have one hit kills as well as the camera on occasion swooping in close to the action as the killing blow hits. With the day/night realms playing a crucial part in the games story, they also play a part in the appearance of Lex. When it switches to night (thanks to shrines throughout the world) then our hero becomes corrupted by it and changes into some sort of humanoid creature. Now instead of the gunblade hes using spikes that shoot out of his arms. Others areas, such as climbing are also improved to help navigate the surrounding areas. It is energizing to see our unique vision take shape. We are bringing some unusual ideas to the table and so far we couldnt be happier with the results, said Wei-Yao Lu, CEO of Fuzzyeyes. Gamers should look forward to 2009! With the release still pencilled in for Q2, we hope the wait isnt too long.
