The touchscreen is the way to go, once you master it. Almost as good as an analogue stick. Almost.

Some more for the list: Ridge Racer 64, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater something, Turok, Turok 2, and Daikatana.
Does that count as "of interest"?

add them in and add the comments if you think so mate.

I did.  I can use it fine in Metroid Prime: Hunters, but I can remember it feeling uncomfortable in Mario 64 (are there any buttons you have to use on the left side?)
No buttons needed on the left, as far I can recall.

Strangely, I couldn't use the thumbstrap for Metroid Prime Hunters as it didn't have the required reach; but I found using the stylus was quite comfortable and allowed for freer movement. I do have quite large hands, I suppose.

I actually thought mario 64 was better with a D-pad, but then I get odd moments like that.

I've never used it for any other game. I think I might take it off the DS actually, as it's otherwise a bit pointless.

Rich, wrap a few layers of sellotape over the tip of your left thumb, and make it slightly pointy in the middle.
Bingo - home-made DS thumbstrap.

I never even looked to see if I got one in Mario Kart bundle.

Are they any good?

Try making sure the strap is going through the gap between the top and bottom screen.  I think you're able to reach any point on the screen when it's like that.

I think the problem was more with my thumb not reaching it. Stylus in the other hand has full access, however.

Has anyone mentioned WaveRace 64, yet? If not, why not? Best use of the crappy N64 analogue stick, ever.

Most of the discussion was about the DS, though.

Great Work... the 'Retro Section' is now marginally more popular than the 'Bargains Section' - congrats!  You have lost -44 skill & kudos points.
