Toy Story 1 & 2 bluray - AU$32 (£19.95) incl p&h from www.base.com (basically blahdvd under a different name)

Its part of a "Buy 1, get 1 Disney title free" deal :D Found the site by accident when searching for coupons. $16 ea for these titles?! Simply awesome because I was nearly going to pay twice as much on Amazon.com

I actually got mine for £12 in the end, found it cheaper on Amazon.co.uk a few days ago and canceled my base.com order :)

I bought them from Amazon.co.uk literally hours before the price dropped to £12. Oh well!

Fast & The Furious 1-4 boxset - $25 (owned 1-3 before on bluray, sold it at a much higher price so this seemed like a good deal since I sort of regret selling it)

The Hulk (Ang Lee) - $12

The Island (Michael Bay) - $12

Very good prices, should've bought these in my last order

The Descent - $20

Bit more expensive than I'd like but the US version is inferior in terms of PQ (too bright = noisy) so I paid an extra $5 for the local version. Bought it after watching Descent 2 & somewhat enjoying it (although not as good)

Appleseed bluray - $22. Sold my DVD a while back and this new version is a vast improvement, has a new dub too (for better or worse)

John Woo's The Killer bluray - $22. This release is actually WORSE than before although it comes with a HD master, however its DNRd to death & its the only version still in print. At least I get high-def subs

Wallace & Gromit Complete bluray - $14

The Killers - Live From Royal Albert Hall Blu-ray - $22. Yes, I'm a fan of The Killers :( Before I only liked some of their songs but I watched a bluray rip of this and it was too awesome not to have

I don't like The Killers and I am unsure why......

maybe it's because of this:

Are we human?  Or are we dancers?

WTF is that...almost as bad as Owl City.

"Are we human? Or are we genetically mutated alien cyborgs?"

Would be a better line :D Yeah, it didn't make much sense to me either but I rarely pay attention to the lyrics, just as long as it sounds good (and looks good for bluray)

The Universe Seasons 1-3 bluray - $85 incl p&h from Amazon.com

Now that I've got Life & Planet Earth bluray it seems only fitting I should know stuff about the universe as well since my current knowledge is poor :p Used to be good at science in Year 8!

If you want Hard Boiled the best version out there atm is the 'Dragon Dynasty' release on US DVD which you can nab for ~US$8. But that has an incorrect ratio which stretches out the picture slightly, you don't notice it until you see the comparison, then wish you never saw it :P Colours are slightly over-saturated though. However, its the best release thus far, the Stranglehold CE PS3 bonus is a waste of your time in both PQ/AQ, not blu-ray like at all & not the best. There's no word of a proper blu-ray release coming anytime soon

In case you're curious about the transfer of Once Upon A Time in China 1 bluray its great, a lot better than the DVD + a little bit of DNR (which I think was done in a way that's not excessive & without it would've looked ugly). Stay away from the sequels though, Fortune Star stuffed them up. Found out Azumi 1 & 2 is on bluray as well but they look like upconverted DVDs, no change :(

So to sum up any of you guys wanting some asian blu-rays here's the ones to avoid by all means:

- Police Story 1 & 2. They look much worse than the HK Legends DVDs
- Once Upon a Time in China 2
- Azumi 1 & 2 (Taiwan versions)
- Hard Boiled on Stranglehold

Its a shame that they all have to be some of my favourite movies :( Especially Azumi, I was watching Azumi 2 last night & pretty much every shot was blurry & dark & lacked detail of any kind. I was more impressed imagining what it would look like :P

Loved the Ip Man film.  Looking forward to seeing the sequel.  If they make another I imagine it'll end up being part origin story for Bruce Lee.

Ip Man 2 has some silly moments & way more action than it should but I still enjoyed it. Sammo Hung was a highlight too. I was almost tempted by SPL (Kill Zone) but flicking through my DVDrip the movie itself was just 'alright' & I can wait until it goes cheap on Amazon.co.uk, same with Shinjuku Incident. Just a shame that the HK covers are always better looking :(
