Can't believe an ISP would restrict a legitimate online service. Do they restrict downloads of music/films from the apple store as well?

Outrageous.

You wouldn't get that nonsense with Zen (my ISP that I use - although it is quite expensive now at £24 per month)

They say check your router - enable UPNP and forward the relevant ports which i'll try later, but the fact that steam works fine off peak leads me to believe they are blocking or shaping the traffic in peak times. Not a lot I can do, they can throw the end user licence and terms and conditions at you and do whatever they want.

Sky Broadband have 'accidentally' blocked PSN/PS3 traffic in the past. Does make you wonder sometimes about what amount of shaping ISP's actually do to your connection.

Just completed episode 1 of the new monkey island. Liking it, good to be back playing it. Love the bladerunner reference near the end too

I must admit, even though I passed up on this HD remake for now, I have been bitten by the Monkey Island bug. Currently enjoying Curse and will move onto Escape and then the Tales game(s) afterwards.

They'll probably have remade all of them by the time I finish.

Yeah me too - I want to do 2 again and curse of.. myself.

They've released this on Iphone too btw, with the same oldskool swipe the other versions have, which is cool. Not sure on price though.

I must say, I find the pace strange to get used to on these games. Weve grown so used to twitchy kill everything in 10 seconds gameplay, that actually taking time to work a puzzle out and go back and forth feels wierd. V rewarding when u work it out though.

I do sometimes wish I could skip some animations...like walking from one side of the screen to the next screen. I would prefer if I could just skip him walking over there and then loading the screen.

Yeah that did eventually ge brought in to those games eventually, i find it strange this wasnt added in the SE version. you cant do it in the new one either, althuogh you can run now.

I wouldn't expect that much effort being put into it, though; it would need more of a rework than MI1 got (which was just the same game engine with redrawn art).

Amazing, really; they should let fans make these things for free, rather than paying companies to do it. Probably lots of legal reasons getting in the way, though.

I bought this and loving it, and the only Lucasarts point-n-click game I've ever played was Full Throttle (remake too, please!). This Guybrush bloke reminds me a bit of Sprite, though; blond, pedantic and meek.
