Excellent. It served as a goo dreminder to queue this as a download. I queued the trial, although I am pretty sure I wil lbe making a full purchase. I just wish it would actually download it without the need for me to go and power it on.

I really wish Microsoft would sort something out where you could downlaod onto a portable drive and then stick it on your Xbox360 via USB plugin. It would make my life so much easier.

Doh....started playing the trial thinking I would be able to continue on after I unlock but it doesn't seem to let you. Will probably start this (again) when I get home after my 9am-midnight shift tomorrow.

Well just played it and its an excellent remake - the extra graphic effects, like rippling water, or LeChucks ghostly aura just add so much to it, and its great with speech too. Kept finding myself switching back and forth to the old skool just to compare. Loving this, definately recommend it to pretty much anyone, even moreso when you tihnk of other things that cost 800 points. Repeat after me: Please do Fate of Atlantis next, Please do Fate of Atlantis next

If I get it at all it'll be the pc version. For me, point and click games are best played with a mouse thanks to its superior pointing and clicking capabilities.
Whilst I'm sure they've done a fine job of streamlining the controls for console, I have purchased this through Steam for the above reason. I thought about just booting up SCUMM but, in the end, shiny graphics and voices were enough to make me fork out.

I think the controls in the console version are perfect - not intrusive at all, which is even more noticeable when you switch back to oldskool, most interactions are done with 2 buttons, with intermittent presses of the triggers so you get to see so much more of the screen. V impressed.

Tbh I'm wishing that I had a 360 controller to use instead of the keyboard & mouse (there's no support for standard USB controllers!). The controls seem to be pretty scattered around and for some reason it has a very hard time detecting my mouse clicks when trying to choose lines of dialogue plus the inventory seems kind of hidden
Nice graphics but I'm finding the constant bobbing heads (in 3 frames) in HD makes me feel a little sick simply because it stands out so much whilst everything else is smooth. Good game though

Yeah, the animation is inconsistent now. Like the walk cycle, it's still jerky, but he slides across the screen smoothly. At least in the original, it's consistently jerky.

I thought that to start with, but if you tihnk theyre just redoing the game by overlaying newer gfx, not the core, and this isnt COMI, its not that bad, really
Now all I nede to do is find out what to do with my rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle...

What are the acheivements? I can't imagine them to be very interesting. Are they just for completing each chapter etc?

I liked how everytime you tried to sell one off to somebody they already say they've already got one I thought that the item would never be used, like the panties from Broken Sword 2 but as soon as the particular puzzle came along I knew exactly what I had to do. Same goes for the clever underwater trick, it only took me 3 tries to get myself out of the water and I was back up within 30 seconds The funniest moment has to be that offscreen fight that was going on! Awesome! "Use gopher repellent on gopher. Use gopher repellent on herde of gophers. Pick up...Heavy Chair. Use Heavy Chair with Sheriff" ToMI tried to do a similar thing but wasn't very creative
