Ah, so it was effectively a beta rather than a demo? Or can you still play it if you've already downloaded it?

ditto.....I am on the hunt for something too. Do you all think this game will be around to stay for a while? I wouldn't want to buy a co-opcentric game only to find out a few months later that no-one can be arsed supporting it (I made that mistake with Shadowrun )

February 11, 2009 — The recently announced Left 4 Dead Downloadable Content (L4D DLC) will be delivered to Xbox 360 and PC gamers free of charge.
Due for release this spring, the DLC for 2008's best-selling new game property on the PC and Xbox 360, is dubbed the L4D Survival Pack and introduces a new multiplayer game mode entitled, Survival, plus two complete campaigns for Versus Mode (Death Toll, Dead Air). A Critic's Choice Edition of the game will be heading to retail stores this spring, and will include access to all the content introduced in the L4D: Survival Pack.
Left 4 Dead is a survival action game from Valve that blends the social entertainment experience of multiplayer games such as Counter-Strike and Team Fortress with the dramatic, narrative experience made popular in single player action game classics such as the Half-Life series of games. Released in November of 2008, L4D has earned over 25 industry awards from outlets around the world.
For more information, please visit www.l4d.com Well done, Valve, thats more like it

Hmmm..I am very tempted now How many folks on these boards play it? I know Lucas is on it all the time I may trade in my cacky PS3 TRaider in for this. Everywhere still seems to be selling it for £34.99 round here though...would deffo buy it if it was cheaper.

Id recommend it ikgf (man your profile names too long!).
Its one of the very few games Id consider buying twice, on PC and 360 - its that good. Awesome game, and different every time.

it's funny....everyone seems to pass comment about my gamertag when online. The americans say stuff like...dude, you've spelt kung fu wrong - you faggot etc etc. Funny really, it is an alternate way of spelling it (in fact it is the way Bruce Lee spelt it ) I would like to know who bagged iknowkungfu before me though... Anyways, I am thinking about buying it. Although I just bought Dead Space and am enjoying that atm. I could trade Fallout 3 and Tomb raider as I don't think I will have the time for them when SFIV comes out.
