F*ck yeah!  Why did George Lucas make the prequels - I think Bioware should have made them.  Not sure I would buy the game though as I have never delved into the murky world of MMO!

I think itll be a good mmo to try, it seems the story and character developement are more important in this one, as opposed to the community/horde element. I think ill give it a go.

Just PC as far as I'm aware.  They alsoe annoucned it was going to be fully voice acted, which has never been done before in an MMO.  Age of Conan was voice acted but only until lvl 20 out of 80, and that came in at 32g of hd space before patches, so I think consoles are out of it.

lol..someone has the sarcasm turned to 11 today :)

ironically, I downbloaded monkey island 4, but because it was released on an old version of MAC OSX it won't run :(  Typical......Still, I will be able to play the other 3.

Well, I havenb't had chance to look if there is a fix/workaround.  anyways back on topic.

I can still play any PC game it just means that I have to boot into Windows rather than OSX.  Bootcamp ftw!  I can run windows through OSX but I don't think playing something like this would be very fun unless I used Bootcamp.

(Northern) SPring 2011 release date just announced, so we still have over a year of dev time yet.

Good.  More time fo them to get it right.

And can we got a mod to alter the title of this thread to Star Wars:  The Old Republic?

Damn, I was hoping this was going to be released soon...need...new...mmo...fix

However, like you say, it gives them more dev time to get it right on release rather than rushing it out and the first few weeks being an extended beta test.

What about Star Trek Online? That's out in a couple of weeks, I think.

Star trek Online went under my radar as I'm not really a fan of Star trek. I think Tubs told me he was in the beta so I'll wait to see if its any good.

Its good - took an age to download though. Played a very small bit of it. Created a character called Dwayne Dibbly, ran around a bit and thats it - gonna give it a proper go over the next few days.

I'm going to be playing TheSecret World when it comes out.  Which is another reason I'm happy with the extended dev time.  The were both due around the same time and I knew I'd never be Able to play 2 mmos at once.

FYI tswlooks like it's kindve going to be a cthulu esque type big secret moo.

The latest gameplay documentary looks good. At least they seem intent on balancing the classes, so hopefully there wont be masses of 1337 Jedi/Sith running around. My only concern is that there seems to be a lack of pvp...
