I trust korvas' opinion so will be trying bad boy out.
Did you play it on pc korv? What kind of system are you running it on?

Also, a question for all- how much is it like bf2 compared to modern combat?

I, m hoping this takes over cod as the pc fps games of choice if it is. The dedicated servers will help.

Geforce 280gtx, quad core i7, 6 gig ram. running it at 1920*1200, max everything. Can get a bit choppy in places, but this is still beta code, so it's not optimised yet. Otherwise, fairly solid framerates.

And it's very simliar to BF2. the air vehicles aren't overpowered, like they were back then, and the weapons are good and balanced. I didn't find myself victim to rifleitis. The medic has cabable LMGs, the boomsticks lay waste to close range people, and the sniper rifles do their job admirably.

I can't wait for the full version. The single player should be a laugh, too. The multi just does everything right. Hell, i can even forgive them for no health bar.

Played the demo yesterday - does seem like theres a lot to be getting to grips with. Everythings destructible too, which is cool, even the trees - was in the top of a tank with some guy rnning up the hill towards us, with me mowing all the trees around him until I found the chewy human centre and ripped it apart

My time in a helicopter wasnt so successful....

I did have a moment of success with it though, took off with someone in the back, making circles around the battlefield until I got shot down by a tank. Good game, doubt Ill get it though, Im a bit done on war fps at the moment.

I think it could be better than MW2 tbh. However, average xbox live joe will probably disagree.....

From the sounds of it, unless they really screw up it will replace COD as the PC multilayer game of choice, mainly thanks to the dedicated servers.

PC gamers are still hurting over IW for that one.

I suspect MW2 will be kind for a loooong time in the realm of the console though. Shame really. There are so many other games to mplay with (says I as I woefully glance at my copy of L4D2).

Ranked up a bit now. Got myself a fantastic shotgun. Combine that with the recon class for a bit of a laugh, and you're a ghillie suited madman with a shotgun. Caused some carnage one map, going on a bit of a c4 rampage. Also collected 23 unique dogtags, so far. Here's hoping to many more!

It's BF2 all growd up!

Loving it so far, haven't ranked or anything yet, but it's definately better than CoD4, IMO. Also the only game where I actually would choose a sniper rifle as my first choice. Wierd.

Aye. TBH, i'm starting over, once the full retail comes out. Deleting my soldier and remaking him. I'm rank capped for the beta (11), and there's stull a shitload more to unlock. I love this game.

Are they cycling the maps thru beta? I can see just one getting old. I'm also glad to see them supporting public servers even through beta. Looks like they are going for CoDs pc crown. I'm so happy with the number of Aussie severs available.

Nah. It's just gonna be Port Valdez, unfortunately. I've not got bored of it, yet. There's always a new way to attack, or to defend. destructible terrain has kept it fresh for me. I love using my Carl G to tear through structures.

There's no demo that I know of. I'm playing the beta through having pre purchased it through steam. Although iirc this comes to an end in the next day or two before the full release next week.

I haven't reached cap yet bur I'm still loving it. I'm having a blast with my recon soldier - x 16 zoom and mortor strikes Are awsome fun. I also love seeing the little details are thee still, like being able to shoot some travelling in the back of thee black hawk.

Can't wait for the full release next week. Port valdez is stll fun but I want to see the other mAps and modes.

We don't know yet. The beta was for multiplayer only on a single map. For me the full game is released in one day, 20 hours.
