Tubs and I have been working on a new website and today is the launch. Head on over to www.retro101.co.uk to check it out. We are starting things off with a Castlevania week, you know, because I wanted to be unpradictable....

Nice going. We need the retro back on this site for sure.

I'm quite enjoying Pixel Junk Monsters which although a new release is retro in its scope and presentation. Achieves its goals and shows a simple idea is often the best one.

Props must go to Retro Ghost, whos been organising the content on this, and getting stuff up there so its ready to launch.

If anyones got experience with wordpress, im trying to get comments enabled on pages at the moment and although Ive ticked the comments box on the page admin, it doesnt appear. grr...

Good idea, good layout... but I'm avoiding reading any more so I don't get annoyed by all the spelling mistakes.

yeah, we need a text editor to pick stuff up that I miss. I had ten reviews to edit in about four hours so it was inevitable stuff would get through. If anyones interested in doing it or contributing retro stuff feel free to let Tubs or myself know. We could also do with a PS3 reviewer....

Ive tried to keep an eye on spelling n stuff, via the backend spelling checker (via firefox's checker), havent had a chance yet though.

Its more typo's and things that sneak through. Words that are spelt right but that are meant to be something else like were/where.

"Fairs better" should be "fares better", for example.

Are you sure comments are included/embeded in your current template? Try another one (default) to see if it actually working?

I like the site and have enjoyed the content I've looked at, but I have to agree with Sprite.

Presumably, the site is also meant to advance your career as a writer, and having articles littered with errors isn't a great advertisement.

It might have been better to focus on quality over quantity?

EDIT - the link in your sig is also b0rked!

Still, I look forward to seeing how the site progresses and wish it every success.

cheers, rogue, it does have comments - has them on posts and should be on pages too, default theme doesnt either, so im just looking through a the moment to see what the dealio is.

all it was was adding the php line in for comments, put it after the main posts <div> and its added it. The first comment is the story, but ive seen that on other sites, so its not a major problem really. strange its not default, but hey.
