Halo 3 Create-A-Game Machine
« on: 24 October 2007 at 08:50am »
OK, so I downloaded all the blank canvasses for the maps in H3 last night, and thought, why don't we all create a game/gametype for Halo3, via the use of chatting about it on this here thread. Anything goes, within the limitations of the game. Any ideas?

So this is basically "I have no idea what I want to do with these downloads" right?

Not listing what games I'm playing cos I'm bloody sick of changing it all the time.

Not really, just thought we could create our very own gametype and then I can chuck in the bits required to the maps, then we can all test it.

Thats a good idea, if bungie like it they will put it up in the hosting space. Its a good way to get publicity if nothing else.

So, any ideas yet?

I was initially thinking of a race variant, but they've all been done. Perhaps, something on one of the smaller maps? High Ground perhaps?

What would be cool, is if you could create some kind of hoop/ring in the middle of the map, and a jump pad at each end. You have a skull or something and have to drop it into the jump pad, sending it flying through the hoop and scoring. I really doubt that its that advanced though, which sucks. A kind of speedball in  halo would be cool. I need to really mess around with the forge to see what's available.

you could probably do it if someone was holding the skull.

Yeah, it could be bascially a CTF sort game, but with the skulls possibly a territory). You could bung gravity lifts in a few place to make it interesting as well
