Megadeth had a good showing in the first two GH games so hopefully they'll turn up again in these. I'm crying out to play Holy Wars or Tornado of Souls. And more Maiden too, of course.

I was actually quite happy that Knights of Cydonia was picked as its the only Muse song I actually like! To be fair though, that has more to do with Matt Bellamy's whiny voice than his musicianship.

I read about a play test that a handful of GH players (with a few in the top 10 on the XBox Live leaderborads) were invited to at Neversoft. Playing Through the Fire and Flames on expert took most of them 10-15 goes to get past the opening 1 or 2% with only a couple of them managing to complete the song. The general feeling seemed to be 'If you thought Jordan was hard...'

The Beastie Boys? What the fück! That ain't rock, and I pity the fool who tries to reason otherwise. Good to see Maiden in there! I couldn't care less about Rock Band, unless it's cheaper than €100.

Been meaning to get guitar hero, played it at a mates and enjoyed it as much as I expected.  Just the whole price thing comes into the equation.

On GHIII is DragonForce's "Through the Fire and the Flames", WHICH IS f**kING AWESOME! I wish Metallica's Enter Sandman was on GHIII, but One shall suffice (and is probably better to play).

But still WELCOME TO THE MOTHERf**kING JUNGLE YES!

It's probably easier on real guitars.

Your mum's easier on real guitars.

So which game is everyone gonna get. For me Rock Band has the superior gameplay allowing you to do more than just Guitar, where Guitar Hero II fas a far better soundtrack (aside from not having Enter Sandman). If I go for any, it'll probably be GHIII on PS3 simply cos I've already got a guitar for it.

I'll get Guitar Hero 3, definitely.

I don't think I can realistically afford a full Rock Band set at the moment, but I like the look of the drumming. Maybe I'll be someone's drummer and save the guitar stuff for GH3 (it would be nice if I could use my PS2 guitars, but that's a no-go).

Will the old GH PS2 guitars work with GHIII on PS2?

I think so Lothar.

I'm looking forward to both equally. My brother is especially looking forward to the drumming so forming a band isn't going to cost me personally quite so much.

buying a music game is one thing but it is a whole different story when you try to play the instrument.
the two games are just a lazy persons way of making music

It's not even 'making' music; it's just playing with it.
